News and Insights
Real change happens one home, one person, one community at a time - and this is where we share insights and stories.
Here you'll find the latest news from Trinity, updates on our parternships and projects across Wales, and our thinking on the issues that matter most: housing, homelessness, regeneration, and what it really takes to help people move forward with dignity.
We believe that shining a light on what's working - and what still needs to change- is part of how we make a difference. So whether you're a council partner, a community organisation,or someone who cares about the future of housing in Wales,we hope you'll find something here that informs, inspires,or sparks a conversation.

Why ‘Move-On’ Needs to Be the Start of the Conversation, Not the End
Too often in supported housing, 'move-on' is treated as an ending — a bed freed, a box ticked, a referral cycle restarted. But for the person living through it, moving on is one of the most significant transitions of their life.
In this think piece, Dr Amanda Milliner argues that sustainable move-on begins not at the end of a placement, but on the very first day — and that the quality of that journey is what determines whether someone's next tenancy holds.

Hard to reach was never the problem - we were
The phrase "hard to reach" has done decades of quiet damage in public services. It sounds practical. It isn't. It places the failure of engagement inside the person being failed — and lets systems off the hook entirely.

What do your organisation's values actually mean — in the room, in the moment, under pressure?
Most organisations have values. Fewer truly live them. This think piece examines the distance between the values displayed on walls and in documents, and the behaviours that play out day to day in meetings, decisions, and interactions. It explores how that gap — when left unaddressed — quietly becomes culture: one that costs staff their wellbeing, and ultimately costs the people we serve their dignity.
A provocation for leaders who are willing to look honestly at the difference between what their organisation says it believes, and what it actually permits.

Building systems with dignity
Leadership is often discussed in terms of strategy and results. But at its core, it shapes something far more human, how people experience the systems around them.
In this feature, The Real Edits explore the journey of Amanda Milliner, leadership advisor and co-founder of Avanti Change and Trinity Pathways. Her work bridges organisational leadership and social impact, focusing on building systems that not only function effectively but also restore dignity, stability, and trust for the people they serve.
Her story reflects a powerful truth: values are not meant to sit in mission statements, they are meant to be lived through decisions, structures, and everyday actions.
This piece offers a thoughtful perspective on what it means to lead with integrity, challenge broken systems, and create change that is both practical and deeply human.
